Pulsar Awards Excellence
Pulsar direct, the direct retailer for Professional Plumbing Supplies, has rewarded an apprentice at Bristol Training Services, an organisation that provides vocational training in the plumbing, gas engineering and electrical trades, with an award for plumbing excellence.
Lee Tackel, a mature student at the college picked up the award for Apprentice of the Year, receiving £150 worth of Pulsar direct vouchers and a selection of workwear. Lee completed a 12 week intensive course at the college to receive his Technical Certificate, Level 2. Lee has since gone on to complete his NVQ Level 2 and is now a fully qualified plumber working for Premier Plumbing. To add further to his skills Lee has recently begun studying for the Level 3 Technical Certificate.
“We recognise the value of supporting the training colleges,” said Steve Hogg, Marketing Manager for Pulsar direct. “The shortage of trained professionals is having a huge impact on the industry. Regular updates on new product innovations can help tradesman offer customers the best possible service. Changing regulations mean that all those involved in the sector can also benefit from regular refreshers to comply with the new requirements.”
