Pulsar Racing enters the 2008 Round Britain Offshore Powerboat Race.

The Round Britain Offshore Powerboat Race 2008 has been described as the “Everest of Powerboat Racing” and “The Greatest Offshore Powerboat Race in The World”.

Over 60 Boats, Crew & Support Teams are taking part and the Race is sure to be a fantastic event with lots of activity at each venue during race Times. The Race will start on Saturday the 21st of June from Portsmouth and finish 10 days later back at Portsmouth again having circumnavigated the British coastline

Day 1: Saturday 21st June. Portsmouth

The race starts at Portsmouth from Gun Wharf Quays Marina.

Race start one at 9.30am for Classic Boats, Cruisers and RB4.
Race start two at 10.00am for RB1, RB2, RB3 and Classic Class 2.

First boats expected to arrive in Plymouth from 2.00pm onwards.

Day 2: Sunday 22nd June. Plymouth

The race starts from The Mayflower Marina, Plymouth.

Race start one at 9.30am for Classic Boats, Cruisers and RB4.
Race start two at 10.00am for RB1, RB2, RB3 and Classic Class 2.

First boats expected to arrive in Milford Haven from 2.00pm onwards.

Day 3: Monday 23rd June. Milford Haven

The race starts from The Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven.

Race start one at 9.30am for Classic Boats, Cruisers and RB4.
Race start two at 10.00am for RB1, RB2, RB3 and Classic Class 2.

First boats expected to arrive in Bangor, Northern Ireland from 2.00pm onwards.

Day 4: Tuesday 24th June. Bangor

The race starts from The Bangor Marina, Bangor.

Race start one at 9.30am for Classic Boats, Cruisers and RB4.
Race start two at 10.00am for RB1, RB2, RB3 and Classic Class 2.

First boats expected to arrive in Oban from 2.00pm onwards.




The RYA have donated the original beautiful 1969 Road Britain Trophy for the overall winner of the 2008 Round Britain Powerboat Race.

The RYA have also donated the old and beautiful gold “Duke of York” Trophy for the first British boat and crew home.
  
Day 5: Wednesday 25th June. Caledonian Canal

The Race Flotilla travel to Inverness via The Caledonian Canal.

First boats expected to arrive in Inverness from 2.00pm onwards.




Day 6: Thursday 26th June. Inverness

Lay day in Inverness. Chance to Recover, Repair, and Revive








Day 7: Friday 27th June. Inverness

The race starts from The Seaport Marina outside Inverness.

Race start one at 9.30am for Classic Boats, Cruisers and RB4.
Race start two at 10.00am for RB1, RB2, RB3 and Classic Class 2.

First boats expected to arrive in Edinburgh from 2.00pm onwards.
 

Day 8: Saturday 28th June. Edinburgh

The race starts from The Port Edgar Marina outside Edinburgh.

Race start one at 9.30am for Classic Boats, Cruisers and RB4.
Race start two at 10.00am for RB1, RB2, RB3 and Classic Class 2.

First boats expected to arrive in Newcastle from 2.00pm onwards.

Day 9: Sunday 29th June. Newcastle

The race starts from The Royal Quays Marina, Newcastle.

Race start one at 9.30am for Classic Boats, Cruisers and RB4.
Race start two at 10.00am for RB1, RB2, RB3 and Classic Class 2.

First boats expected to arrive in Lowestoft from 2.00pm onwards.

Day 10: Monday 30th June. Portsmouth

The race starts from The Lowestoft Haven Marina outside Lowestoft.

Race start one at 9.30am for Classic Boats, Cruisers and RB4.
Race start two at 10.00am for RB1, RB2, RB3 and Classic Class 2.

First boats expected to arrive in Portsmouth from 2.00pm onwards.
 


Race Finish at Gun Wharf Quays, Portsmouth. Much Champagne and Beer Consumed.
