Lowestoft, England, Stage nine of the The 2008 Round Britain Offshore Power Boat Race™. Approx eta of first raceboat - 14.00 June 29th 2008.

June 30th 2008, the race to the final stage Portsmouth!
Race start one at 9.30am for Classic Boats, Cruisers and RB4.
Race start two at 10.00 am for RB1, RB2, RB3 and Classic Class 2.

Lowestoft is Britain's most easterly town and the heart of the Sunrise Coast. Once famous for being a small fishing town, the town has now been transformed into a popular tourist destination.
The beaches at the North and South of Claremont Pier both hold the ENCAMS blue flag award and are considered to be some of the very best in the country.

The Royal Plain fountains on the sea front provide a popular attraction through the year, the fountains consist of 74 water jets that display to different shows throughout the day and evening.

The town boasts a wonder range of attractions, museums and days out, in the evening the Marina Theatre provides a wide range of entertainment including being the eastern region residence of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
